508 students were enrolled for 9th grade in Washington Parish schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 508 ninth grade students enrolled in Washington Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 11.9% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Franklinton High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Washington Parish schools, the most students were found in first grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Washington Parish ranked 25th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 26th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
