There were three American Indian students enrolled in Bogalusa City School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 40% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Bogalusa City School District welcomed 1,877 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Bogalusa City School District roughly covers schools within Washington Parish and has a main office in Bogalusa.

Among the six schools in Bogalusa City School District, Bogalusa High School, Byrd Avenue Primary School, and Northshore Charter School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of one student.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
