St. Helena Parish School District Education: 1,093 students were enrolled in 2021-22 school year

There were 1,093 students enrolled in St. Helena Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.6% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.6% of them were boys, and 49.4% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 90.9% of the St. Helena Parish School District total enrollment.

St. Helena Parish School District covers approximately three schools within St. Helena Parish, with its main office in Greensburg.

Among the three schools in St. Helena Parish School District, St. Helena College and Career Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 501 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
