The majority of students in Washington Parish districts were white in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Of the 6,785 students attending Washington Parish district schools, 53.8% were white. Black or African American students were the second largest ethnic group among Washington Parish's districts (39%).

In the previous school year, white students were the most common group in Washington Parish districts, representing 53.4% of the student body.

City of Bogalusa School District had the most diverse student body in the parish, which included Black or African American, white, Multi-racial, Hispanic or Latino, Asian, American Indian or Alaska Native, and Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.

In the 2021-22 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the parish dropped 1.8% when compared to the previous year.
