MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION

Dates & Deadlines:

• Early Voting | April 16-23

Parish Wide Elections:

NEW Taxes - :

• NEW - Albany School District - Shall  Sales Tax District No. 24 of the Parish School Board of the Parish of  Livingston, State of Louisiana (the "District"), under the applicable  provisions of Louisiana law, be authorized to levy and collect a tax of  one-half of one percent (1/2%) (the "Tax"), in perpetuity, beginning  July 1, 2022, upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the  consumption, and the storage for use or consumption, of tangible  personal property and on sales of services in the District (an estimated  $300,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy  of the Tax for an entire year), with the proceeds of the Tax (after  paying the reasonable and necessary expenses of collecting and  administering the Tax) to be dedicated and used for constructing and  improving public school buildings and facilities therein and acquiring  land, equipment and furnishings therefor?
• NEW - Fire District Millage -

  Shall  Fire Protection District No. 4 of Livingston Parish, Louisiana (the  "District"), be authorized to levy a special tax of fifteen (15) mills  on all property subject to taxation within the District (an estimated  $4,100,000.00 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the  levy of the tax for an entire year) (the "Tax"), for a period of twenty  (20) years, beginning with the year 2022 and ending with the year 2041,  for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining  and/or operating fire protection and emergency medical service  facilities, vehicles and equipment, including both movable and immovable  property, and to pay the costs of obtaining water for fire hydrant  purposes, including charges for fire hydrant rentals and services?

When you go to the polls to cast your vote in an election, be sure to take one of the following:

• Driver's License
• Louisiana Special ID
• LA Wallet Digital Driver's License
• United States Military Identification Card that contains the applicant's name and picture
• Some other generally recognized picture ID that contains your name and signature

Voters who have no picture ID may  complete and sign a Voter Identification Affidavit in order to vote;  however, it is subject to challenge by law.
