Census Bureau: 76.1% of people in Washington Parish were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 45,794 citizens living in Washington Parish in 2021, 76.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 34,850 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 17,148 were male, constituting 49.2%, and 17,702 were female, making up 50.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Washington Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
