Steve Scalise, a seasoned political figure currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Louisiana's 1st district, shared several insights through his social media presence. A Republican known for his staunch conservative stance, Scalise succeeded Bobby Jindal in 2008 and has since been a vocal advocate for various issues.

On June 18, 2025, Scalise tweeted "Promises made, promises kept!" expressing fulfillment of commitments, though without providing specific details on the context or promises referenced.

The following day, June 19, he addressed criticisms from Democrats regarding border security measures. In a tweet at 14:06:32 UTC he stated, "Democrats said building the wall was extreme. They said deporting criminals was extreme. They said backing ICE and enforcing the law was extreme." He continued by affirming that if such stances are deemed extreme by critics, then they will "wear that badge proudly," emphasizing support for border security and public safety initiatives as reflective of voters' desires.

Later that same day at 23:35:46 UTC, Scalise commented on an incident involving Representative Max Miller. He described it as "horrifying and absolutely unacceptable," asserting that "political violence has no place in this country" and called for full legal consequences against those responsible. The tweet underscored his zero-tolerance stance on violence within political contexts.

Born in New Orleans in 1965 and residing in Jefferson Parish, Scalise is also an alumnus of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
