Later that day, Scalise highlighted a significant legislative milestone achieved on the same date: "On America’s Independence Day, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law. Restoring prosperity. Securing freedom. Putting America first." He added that this event marked what he referred to as "the golden age of America."
