Today, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise addressed the House floor in support of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which aims to provide economic relief for lower and middle-income families. Scalise highlighted that a 'no' vote from Democrats is a neglect of hardworking families, small businesses, energy independence, and social safety net programs. He emphasized this moment as an opportunity for House Republicans to fulfill their mandate.

Scalise's remarks included criticism of the opposing party's stance on the bill. "If you listen to the people on the other side, Mr. Speaker, who have over and over again said that they’re against this bill and all the things that are in this bill for hardworking families, you would think the last four years, things have been going great for middle America," he stated.

He continued by stressing America's readiness for change under President Trump's leadership: "America is coming back. You can vote no all day long...but we're going to keep moving forward...President Trump is at the helm now. It's a new day."

Scalise expressed optimism about passing the bill and its potential impact on American families: "The hardworking families of America are hungry, hungry for this kind of change...We're going to pass this bill. President Trump's going to sign it."
