Today, House Republican leaders expressed their satisfaction following the passage of The One Big Beautiful Bill Act by Congress. The legislation is now awaiting President Trump's signature to become law.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Speaker Mike Johnson, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain released a joint statement celebrating the achievement. They stated, "Republicans in Congress have succeeded in our mission to enact President Trump’s America First agenda. And importantly, we did it in record time, so that the effects of this nation-shaping legislation can be felt by the American people as soon as possible."
The bill includes measures aimed at reducing taxes for families and businesses, securing borders, boosting American energy production, and cutting government spending. It also aims to enhance governmental efficiency.
The statement criticized House Democrats for their unanimous opposition to the bill. "It should never be forgotten that every single House Democrat voted against all of it — proving once again that they support tax hikes on their constituents, open borders, runaway government spending," the leaders remarked.
The bill's proponents claim it will benefit hard-working Americans across the country. "This bill is for you," they concluded.
