House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) appeared on Fox Business Network's "Mornings with Maria" to discuss the Republican agenda and criticize the Biden administration. Scalise emphasized the benefits of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which aims to provide tax relief and strengthen social safety nets. He highlighted that Americans will benefit from no tax on overtime and tips, lower energy costs, and improved border security.
Scalise also addressed claims against the Biden administration, stating, "Everybody in America has watched his cognitive decline for years." He criticized Democrats for opposing measures like modernizing air traffic control systems and strengthening Medicaid with work requirements.
The House Oversight Committee is investigating alleged coverups by the Biden administration. Scalise questioned actions such as using an autopen for signing important documents without President Biden's knowledge.
Regarding ICE agents, Scalise defended their role in maintaining law and order. He accused Democrats of undermining law enforcement efforts by defunding police and ICE.
Scalise concluded by criticizing the Democrat Party's denial of issues within their ranks: "Their party is being run by Socialists...and that's not where the American people are."
