House Majority Leader Steve Scalise has released a video highlighting the achievements of the Republicans' One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB). The bill, signed into law by President Trump, focuses on economic relief, border security, and energy independence.
In the video, Scalise emphasizes that for the past four years, America has been held back. He states that the mandate given to them by voters in November was to deliver on promises made during their campaign. "This bill that's going to deliver on so many promises that the American people asked us to do for them," he said.
Scalise points out specific benefits of the OBBB, such as locking in tax rates and eliminating taxes on tips for waiters and waitresses. Additionally, it removes taxes on overtime pay for blue-collar workers. These measures are expected to lower inflation and increase wages for families.
The bill also fully funds efforts to complete building the wall along with providing new technology for Border Patrol Agents. This is intended to help them compete with drug cartels from Mexico.
On energy production, Scalise notes that President Trump's promise to produce more American energy from areas like ANWR in Alaska and the Gulf of America is being fulfilled through this legislation.
Scalise concludes by predicting an American renaissance or golden age resulting from these initiatives: "You will see an American renaissance, a golden age in this country that we haven't seen in generations."
